We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced Environmental Consultant to take a role with our rapidly growing Environmental Planning Team to further drive and expand on the team's recent successes with major infrastructure projects and key land development clients. 

In this role you will be required to:

  • Assume responsibility for collaborating on a wide range projects; this will include supporting environmental approvals (eg EES, EPA Works Approvals) preparing cost estimates and drafting tender submissions, assessing and reporting on technical documentation, developing project schedules, and undertaking work to meet project deadlines and budgets.
  • Preparation of environmental approvals and development applications, site and land use assessments, planning scheme amendments, strategic planning reports, framework plans, strategies, and policies.
  • Interact with internal and external clients at middle to senior levels.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of requirements and ability to delegate tasks within a workgroup.

To be successful in this role you must possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental/land use planning or similar.
  • At least 3 years experience in preparing environmental assessments and approvals documentation and environmental planning studies or reports.
  • Broad project experience working for private and government clients.
  • A demonstrated capability in provision of statutory approvals advice.
  • Skills in the management and negotiation of successful development outcomes.
  • A dynamic approach to planning work with sound commercial awareness and acumen.
  • Experience in working across multiple projects on time and within budget..
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for facilitating relationships with internal and external clients and decision-makers.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for preparing and presenting planning reports and projects.
