Structural Team Leader - Energy & Resources

In order to maintain the strength of our Structural Engineering team, with Todd Sheldon taking a role on the Westgate Tunnel Project, we are now seeking to engage a suitably experienced professional from within the Aurecon business to act as the Structural Leader for the Energy & Resources team in Melbourne.  The successful individual will not only need to work closely with the structural lead in Adelaide, but also ensure that the collaboration which currently exists between the other markets in Melbourne is maintained.

The responsibilities of the Structural Leader will include, but are not limited to:

  • Actively develop and maintain client relationships, leading to the winning and delivery of proposals and projects in the Manufacturing, Energy Resources & Oil and Gas, markets, including engagement and collaboration with the broader R&M leadership team
  • Accountable for the delivery of projects from an operational focus. This includes the timeliness, quality, risk management, project financial performance and scope management of the projects.
  • Liaise with Aurecon engineering discipline team leaders within other markets including Transport, Defence, Water and Buildings
  • Responsible for leading, managing, developing and motivating employees to ensure a high performing and engaged team, as well as being accountable for Structural resourcing in the R&M Unit to support current and future work

 

The prerequisites of the individual will include:

  • Strong structural technical skills, complemented by practical project leadership and /or project director experience
  • Well-developed leadership, communication, presentation and influencing skills to ensure the team thrives and maintains their engagement
  • An appreciation of the Aurecon Blueprint and how that relates to the broader E&R team
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Strong relationship and interpersonal skills - a strong collaborator
  • Achievement and action orientated; solutions focussed
  • Ability to adapt to work effectively across geographic and cultural boundaries to create and promote a collaborative culture
