With a positive forward workload, we have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer with significant experience in bulk materials handling to join our Resources team in Brisbane to focus on:

  • Delivering Projects for clients who own and operate large assets in the Resources and Manufacturing market sectors
  • Building new relationships with clients through successful project delivery
  • Enhancing current capability within the Brisbane team through industry experience

Key responsibilities include:

  • Promote and demonstrate Aurecon's values, ensuring a safe working environment at all times
  • Preparation of engineering designs, specifications and reports
  • Actively generate new, as well as develop and maintain existing client relationships
  • Work closely with other disciplines to deliver work and bring clients ideas to life
  • Assume responsibility for the delivery of the mechanical components of large and complex projects
  • Manage project planning and resourcing activities
  • Continue to develop mechanical engineering skills and add value to the wider team through the mentoring and guidance of junior engineers and drafters
  • Ensure designs and site works are safe and compliant with all relevant safety standards

For this position the candidate shall possess:

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as RPEQ
  • Ideally 10-15 years’ experience in Mechanical design
  • Excellent understanding of Australian Standards
  • Be capable of building relationships and working in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical report writing
  • Demonstrated exposure to project development and/or delivery in the Queensland market
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Proven ability to deliver appropriate engineering solutions within a specified time frame
  • Experienced in delivering innovative and complex multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects in a fast paced environment
  • Strong client focus
