Key Responsibilities

Winning Work and Client Relationships

  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of positive client relationships.
  • Responsible for providing input to client proposals and tenders in conjunction with Business Development. This includes bid planning, facilitation, costing, writing, technical inputs and signoff required.
  • Responsible for the ongoing marketing and promotion of the Aurecon brand through collaboration with Business Development
  • Responsible for achievement revenue targets assigned by the Office Manager, ensuring the achievement of relevant utilisation targets within team

Project Delivery

  • Accountable for the overall success of all aspects of projects/phases won or allocated. This includes contract negotiation, project management, managing timeliness, quality, risk management, project financial performance, communication and scope management of the projects, in line with the Aurecon methodology.
  • Responsible for soliciting delivery support from the relevant Service Group Units, as required
  • Responsible for the monitoring and sharing of workloads and knowledge within Infrastructure Service Group, for current and future work loads
  • Responsible for ensuring that there is oversight on all technical aspects of a project and technical expertise is provided. (i.e. securing the required technical expertise)
  • Ensure the adequate contribution of technical knowledge and project experience to the competencies and services
  • Accountable for effective closeout of projects and debrief on all projects with the client, Client Relationship Executive/Managers and Project Leaders

Financial Management

  • Manage project profitability and financial contribution for won or allocated projects
  • Ensure financial performance of the won or allocated projects in accordance with client proposals, business plans and budgets
  • People Management and Competency Development
  • Responsible for the leadership, management, development and motivation of direct reports.
  • Responsible for ensuring the ongoing development of careers and competencies, services and technologies within the Service Line
  • Responsible for appointment of professional staff in the Service Line, as required

General Management

  • Responsible for the compliance to company policies and procedures, legislative requirements and act as a role model for Aurecon's values and behaviours
  • Demonstrate safety leadership in all aspects of Aurecon's business
  • Provide input into Office business planning

  • Key Requirements
    BSc or BEng Civil Engineering
    Preferred – post graduate qualification in relevant professional field. Project Management qualification and or solid project management experience
    Registration with relevant professional body
    10+ years' relevant focusing on Civil Engineering
    At least 5 years’ experience in supervisory/management position (people)
    At least 7 years’ experience in managing complex Civil Engineering Projects
    EE candidate encouraged to apply
